Danelectro Shorthorn Bass, hollow body, electric bass guitar with 1 pickups model 3412 in bronze This is a Danelectro Shorthorn model 3412, double-cutaway, electric bass from circa 1963. It has a bronze finish and one pickup. With "Solid Center" construction, it consists of a Masonite top and back on a pine frame. It features a four-way adjustable chrome plated brass bridge with a Brazilian rosewood saddle. This guitar also has the seal shaped pickguard. The neck is straight and all the electronics work properly. About the same size as a guitar, this Shorthorn bass is very lightweight, portable and playable. Impress your friends when you pull out this bronze beauty at the next show or rehearsal. It sounds and plays as good as it looks with great bass action and tones. It has been restored so that you can continue to feel and hear its rich history thumping from within. This is a really nice Danelectro bass which will be appreciated by both players and collectors.

Restored to its original 1963 condition. Very clean finish with some minor wear and crazing. There are three small screw holes in the body from some modifications. White tolex binding in good shape.

Bolt-on, straight, dot inlays on rosewood fretboard, 15 frets, and 29.5" scale. Frets are in good condition and will play well for a long time. The back of the neck has some minimal playing wear. Featuring a metal nut and a Coke bottle headstock with the Danelectro logo silkscreened on the headstock. The headstock has some minor paint wear on the edges.
