Martin F50 - single pickup tobacco-burst, semi-hollow archtop guitar 1961 This is a very rare F50 archtop, single cutaway, semi-hollow body electric guitar made by C.F. Martin & Co. in the USA in 1961. It features a tobacco-burst finish with white, celluloid binding a raised black pickguard, a chrome bridge on a wood mount, a chrome trapeze tailpiece, two f-holes, one DeArmond Dynasonic pickup, two black control knobs with silver-metallic tops, two chrome strap pins, a Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard. The neck is straight and all the electronics work well. These guitars were made between 1961 and 1965. It is said that only about 519 of these guitars were produced during this period. This is an amazing guitar that's in nice playing and collectable condition! It looks lovely, sounds superb and it is a pleasure to play. Grab it quick! CONDITION:
This guitar is in good condition and it's all original. There are about three very small spots of wear above the bridge and one also very small spot near the bass side sound hole. There are also about three very small spots of wear on the back near the edges. The sides and the bottom of the guitar have about three tiny spots of wear. Overall the guitar still looks and sounds fantastic after over 60 years.

TUNERS:
The tuners, closed-back, individual Kluson Deluxe tuners with silver, metalic buttons, are in very good working condition. Description from VintageSilvertones.com

NECK:
It has a straight, glued-on neck with force fitted, perloid dot inlays on a Rosewood fretboard, an white, plastic nut, 20 frets, and a 25" scale. The back of the neck has a few spots of wear thast does not affect the guitar's playability. The headstock, featuring a horizontal silkscreened "CJ Martin & Co. EST. 1833" logo, has some wear along the edges. The action is fast and the neck and frets feel fantastic under your fingers.

PICKUPS:
The single coil, DeArmond Dynasonic pickup is very clean and full. The tone varies from thick and warm to bright, smooth and creamy depending on the position on the tone knob. It is perfect for any style of music, especially for blues, jazz, country, rock, funk, soul and folk. There are two black plastic knobs, with metallic, silver tops, one for tone and one for volume. All of the electronics are clean and work well. This guitar also sounds great acoustically.
