Silvertone 1416, solid body, electric guitar with 1 pickup, walnut sunburst made by Kay of Chicago, IL 1965 This is a Silvertone 1416, double-cutaway, solid body, electric guitar. It was made for Silvertone by Kay of Chicago IL, USA in late 1965. It has a sunburst finish with shaded walnut burst, one single-coil pickup, and tremolo. The neck is straight and all the electronics work properly. It includes the original hard shell case. Overall, it's a nice playing guitar.Description from VintageSilvertones.com

CONDITION:
This Silvertone made by Kay is in good condition but does have some wear to the finish and edges of the body. Everything works properly and is original. The control knobs are plastic with gold embossed type. It has an adjustable bridge, truss rod, and chrome-plated Tremolo. The original case is 43" x 14" x 4.25". TUNERS:
Six-inline tuners with plastic keys, in very good working order.

NECK:
Bolt-on neck with three bolts. The neck is straight with dot inlays on rosewood fretboard, 19 brass frets, and 25 1/2" scale. Frets are in very good+ condition. There is some very minor playing wear on the neck. Plastic nut. The neck is pretty wide but not that deep. The action is medium.

PICKUPS:
One single-coil Kay-made pickup - strong and good working order. The pick works well and has a nice twangy sound and a bit of a bite. All the electronics are in proper working order.
