This is a fully bound, solid body, double cutaway, Silvertone Mosrite-style, electric guitar made in Japan by Teisco. This guitar features a sunburst finish, a tortoise shell pickguard on which all of the electronics are mounted, three single coil pickups, a fully adjustable roller-style bridge, a whammy tailpiece, and the German carve found on Mosrite guitars. This guitar is in beautiful shape for an instrument that is approximately 50 years old. It has practically no blemishes and it plays and sounds superb. Its fast action feels fantastic under your fingers. It includes the original case with plush, red, shag lining. In the case are also a leather shoulder strap, a capo and some picks. 100% original, this guitar is very clean and in very good condition. It looks as if it is almost mint and the sound is terrific. The finish is almost perfect except for a very small and thin line of crazing on the rear lower bass bout and two tiny, barely noticeable cosmetic scratches near there. It has a straight, bound, neck bolted on with four screws and a metal plate that features the model number and the place it was made. There is an ebony fretboard with rounded angle, rectangular mother of pearl inlays, 22 frets with an additional zero fret and 25.5" scale. There is no wear to the neck or frets. The action is fast. The frets and fretboard feels fantastic under your fingers. The headstock, featuring a string tree and a black plate on the front on which is a raised, metallic Silvertone logo, is very clean with no paint wear although there is a tiny cosmetic hairline split. There are three single coil pickups. The neck pickup has a bassy, clean, warm, round tone perfect for jazz, soul, rock and blues. The bridge pickup, perfect for country, rock, surf rock, folk or funk, is clean and twangy while maintaining its round warmth. The middle pickup has a smooth round clean tone. Overall, the pickups work well and sound excellent. This guitar is capable of producing a wide variety of tones suitable for a myriad of musical styles. This guitar has four silver metallic knobs: volume for each pickup and a tone knob for all of the pickups. It also has three black on/off switches mounted on a silver metal plate for their consecutive pickups. There is also one more switch that acts as a tone kill. All electronics work properly.
